‘Jobs’ Review

Jobs is about how Steve Jobs, played by Ashton Kutcher, went from being a university dropout to co-founding and running Apple Inc. However, this isn’t a documentary or biographical film.

It’s also worth mentioning that despite the title of the film, the film is more focused on Apple than Steve Jobs. Continue reading

Windows 8.1 Preview Is Available For Download

Microsoft has recently released the preview of Windows 8.1. It can be downloaded through the Windows Store if you have Windows 8 or it can be downloaded as an .iso through Microsofts website.

According to Ars Technica:

As with any beta software, this is probably not something you want to do on a production machine. Microsoft says that while some people will be able to uninstall the preview (and then upgrade to the final 8.1 build when it’s available), under some circumstances this isn’t possible, so you’ll have to be prepared to blow the machine away to upgrade it.

‘Pitch Perfect’ Review

Pitch Perfect is about Beca, a university sophomore who wants to move to LA to work in music production, who ends up joining the universities’ female acapella group, the Bardem Bellas. This film is in some ways similar to Glee, but there are some differences as well. For a film, Pitch Perfect is a fairly unique concept. I haven’t come across any similar films, though there are a few films around that do portray singing in some capacity (such as Country Strong). There’s even a shot taken at Glee early in this film, which is pulled off quite well. However, there are some important differences between a physical currency and digital currencies like Bitcoin.  Continue reading
